The13th edition of Design Shanghai was held at the Shanghai Exhibition Center from March 19 to 22, 2026.
According to public information, this year’s exhibition brought together more than 500 brands from over 20 countries and regions.

As a professional visitor, New Musketeers attended the event on March 21 for meetings and exchanges.
For us, the most immediate impression was not simply that “design has become more diverse,” but that the industry’s expectations of design are becoming more concrete. On the one hand, material innovation, artistic expression, and craftsmanship reinvention remain key topics.
On the other hand, more and more brands are focusing on how design can truly be transformed into outcomes that are manufacturable, executable, and deliverable.
Public coverage also reflected a clear signal from this year’s exhibition: original design from Asia, especially China, is entering the global design dialogue with growing confidence. More importantly, this shift is no longer limited to conceptual expression, but is increasingly extending into the integration of materials, spaces, products, and commercial applications.
From the perspective of New Musketeers’ business, these trends are particularly worth noting. Because when a project truly enters the market, what determines the outcome is often not just the initial concept, but a complete set of execution capabilities that follow: whether the design intent can be accurately translated, whether materials and craftsmanship can align with budget and application scenarios, whether production and installation can meet quality requirements, and whether communication, timelines, and delivery risks incross-border projects can be effectively managed. Design provide inspiration and direction, but high-quality delivery is the real test of whether design and execution are genuinely connected.

This was also one of the key focuses of our visit. Through this kind of industry event, we hope to continue deepening our understanding of the real needs of brands, design studios, and supply chain partners in this new phase, and to translate these trends into more practical execution solutions in future projects. Whether in shopfitting and retail & office space delivery, cross-border project and quality management, or supply chain coordination from samples, props, and furniture to complete store rollouts, the core remains the same: to ensure that good design does not remain only on drawings or in exhibition halls, but moves steadily and accurately into real-world implementation.
If you are also focused on branded space and shopfitting delivery, cross-border project and quality management, supply chain integration, or localized delivery support for international brands in Asia, we would be glad to connect. We look forward to engaging with more partners who care about the high-quality execution of design projects.
